The Chef's Knife is a kitchen knife for cutting vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. The wide blade makes it easy to transfer the chopped products to a salad bowl or frying pan, and it is also convenient for crushing garlic. The high-handled handle prevents your fingers from hitting the cutting board. The large size of the knife makes it ideal for cutting large fruit and vegetables such as watermelon, courgettes or cabbage.

Nakiri is a Japanese knife for cutting spices and vegetables. The rectangular blade makes it possible to quickly transfer the chopped ingredients to a salad bowl or frying pan. Experienced chefs use the Nakiri knife to obtain thin, decorative, translucent slices (katsura-muki method). The straight cutting edge is used to cut in a vertical line and allows for many different techniques such as julienne and chiffonade.
