Can there be anything better than homemade tomato sauce lovingly prepared? And with fresh burrata cheese? That's why the charismatic Gian Luca Demarco is launching the new season of the TV show "La Meal" with this famous Italian recipe. And to make it even more interesting, he adds a touch of intrigue with the addition of rose hips.
Gian Luca prepared the sauce on a travel grill COBBwhich is perfect for cooking anywhere: not only on trips, but also in the farmhouse, on the table on the porch. And you can make it on any grill or stove you have.
Ingredients:
- 1 kg tomatoes
- 2 onions
- 1 handful of elderberries
- 2-3 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 a.s. ground black pepper
- 1 ciabatta
- 1 fresh basil floret
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 burrata cheese
Production:
- Heat the olive oil, add a few cloves of garlic.
- Slice the onions into half rings and fry
- Once the onions are fried, add a handful of rose hips
- Prepare the tomatoes: cut into cubes and add to the pan. Stew for 15-20 minutes. Add salt and pepper.
- Add fresh basil after removing from the heat.
- Puree the prepared mixture in a blender
- Serve with fresh burrata cheese and toasted ciabatta bread.
